2009 – Frazer-Nash Namir GT

Design model
The Namir GT design model explores a more extreme, competition-oriented evolution of Fabrizio Giugiaro’s 2009 hybrid supercar concept.

BRAND: Giugiaro / Frazer-Nash

MODEL: Namir GT / Challenge

YEAR: 2009

BODY TYPE: Race car

CATEGORY: Design model

DESIGNER: Fabrizio Giugiaro

Originally unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, the Namir was conceived as an experimental two-seat supercar exploring the potential of high-performance hybrid propulsion, combining an 814 cc rotary engine with four electric motors.

The GT interpretation pushes the original design towards a more radical racing character, emphasizing aerodynamic performance and visual aggression while preserving the distinctive proportions and identity of the Namir.

As a styling model, it captures an alternative evolution of the project, showing how the Namir’s advanced hybrid architecture and supercar proportions could be reinterpreted through the language of competition.
