One of just 24 hand-built examples, the 5300 GT Corsa Revival was developed as a faithful continuation of the original 5300 GT, itself derived from Giotto Bizzarrini’s A3C and styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro, with later modifications by Piero Drogo.
The project preserves the extraordinary proportions of the original: an extremely low and sculptural body, a long front section defined by its characteristic twin air outlets and a compact passenger compartment pushed towards the rear. Beneath the body, the front-mid-mounted V8 allows an almost perfect 50:50 weight distribution, one of the fundamental principles of Giotto Bizzarrini’s original engineering concept.
Its lightweight one-piece composite body is mounted on a steel frame and combined with independent rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and a period-specific 5.3-litre V8 equipped with Weber 45 DCOE carburettors, producing more than 400 HP.
The Revival also recalls one of the defining moments in Bizzarrini history: the 5300 GT’s class victory at the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Régis Fraissinet and Jean de Mortemart averaged 169 km/h over the race before Giotto Bizzarrini famously drove the car back to Livorno.
Built according to modern standards while remaining faithful to the original architecture and character, the 5300 GT Corsa Revival creates a direct bridge between the design and engineering culture of the 1960s and a new generation of collectors.
