Tokyo's Temporary Center Corporation commissioned Giugiaro to design a floating city that would respond to the shortage of real estate that characterized the Japanese capital.

Giugiaro took the necessary advice from naval engineers to design a ship that would weigh more than 46,000 tons. The ship features a series of striking and futuristic solutions, transforming a cruise ship into a full-fledged urban ecosystem in which private and public spaces are coherently integrated.
