The association, created by Ernesto Caffo, at the time an associate professor of Child Neuropsychiatry at the University of Modena, was created in order to be able to listen to children's requests for help, a concrete response to the "right to listen" recognized to children by the International Convention on the Rights of the Child signed by the United Nations. The collaboration with Giugiaro led to the creation of the logo, which features three ideograms ideally placed at the bottom of a common telephone keypad, emphasizing the assistance service offered by the association, which debuted with a dedicated telephone line.
