The examples imported to Europe in addition to being slightly longer due to specific bumpers are equipped with larger displacement engines. The sixth series of the Mira was unveiled in 2003 and brought to debut a totally new basic platform and an MPV-style design, created by Giugiaro, that was very angular and marked a clear departure from the shapes of previous generations. The new chassis allowed the engine to be positioned forward so that the cabin could be enlarged.
